Tenet Leadership is at the Texas Charter School Conference @tcsanews hearing from @BCAExec about how to grow school leaders and improve student outcomes.

Research shows that our belief systems dictate the outcomes in our life. School boards need a robust belief system; specifically, school board leaders MUST believe ALL their students – rich or poor – can succeed in math and reading. School boards must entrench this belief in their school system – superintendent, principals, teachers, students, parents, and community members.

School board leaders should be asking these critical questions:

-Do I BELIEVE my students can do better, even if the students are disadvantaged or face adversity?
-What outcomes do I want for my students?
-Does my superintendent BELIEVE my students can do better or are there lots of excuses for poor student results?

There is a substantial statistical correlation between what you believe and your results in any organization.
